TREATMENTS, THERAPY, MASSAGE

CMT- combined manual treatment

It is a synthesis of selected manual techniques for treating certain conditions and problems, including  exercises.

Treatment consists of anamnesis through conversation, diagnostic, posture analysis: functional assessment, body evaluation through static and movement, and self-treatment: manual and functional therapy.

Different techniques are combined depending on the problem:

  • Sports-medical massage
  • Cross-friction massage
  • Functional massage
  • Deep tissue
  • Cupping Therapy
  • Trigger point
  • Acupressure
  • Thai massage
  • Tok Sen
  • Myofascial technique
  • Kinesthetic stretching
  • Emmett technique
  • Manipulation of the musculoskeletal system
  • DNS exercises

Treatment can last up to 2.5 h

Therapy

Myofascial Release (“MFR”) is a Physical Therapy technique for the treatment for chronic pain – i.e., pain that has been there at least 3-6 months. It is a hands-on, manual technique that is backed up by extensive scientific research and evidence. MFR is treatment designed for you and around you to reduce pain and symptoms. It affects and releases muscles (” Myo”) and the tissue (“Fascia“) which connects and holds all our bodily structures in place. The fascia forms a continuous web that extends throughout the body, from the top of our head to the tip of our toes. It surrounds every cell, every organ, including nerves, muscles, vessels and bones. These can develop restrictions, becoming hard and stiff, causing pain and limitations, locally or elsewhere in the body. Mind and body, art and science, all come together in MFR, heightening our awareness and releasing the restrictions that are the source of the problem.

Indications: TMJ, jaw pain, migraines, carpal tunnel, plantar fasciitis, neck, back & shoulder pain, fibromyalgia, digestive issues, emotional stress…

Scars and adhesions

Scars are formed to recover the wound, within the scar the sensation is reduced, there is no slipping of fibers, the tissue is glued. They act as a barrier that limits the normal movement of tissue. Scars through their ability to restrict movement for superficial and deep attachments may or may not create major dysfunctions throughout the fascial system.
Working on the scars leads to the release and loosening of the tissues that the scar has “pulled” to itself. Every physical trauma leaves some form of “record” on our body, and so on in the brain. When the surgeon operates the patient, a scar remains. This scar is actually slightly different tissue than what it was before surgery. That tissue is fibrous, less elastic than healthy tissue, but most importantly, it lacks proprioceptors. If the tissue does not have a proprioceptor, it means that no information about the tissue is generated by the brain, resulting in “black holes” in the “motor map”. All tissues are interconnected and pass on information to one another through the central nervous system. Therefore, the scars on our body create muscle imbalance because the brain cannot recognize them since there is no transmission of information. NO, this does not mean that the muscles atrophy! Simply, the brain cannot properly engage them in action.

All scars are treated no matter how small or old. A minimum of 1-3 treatments is required to relieve the scars.

Cranio sacral therapy

A method of gentle pressure on the bones of the spine and skull to bring the nervous system into harmony. The pressure is trying to affect the craniospinal fluid, the cerebrospinal fluid, which may be constricted in the spine due to trauma caused by a fall, a car accident or due to general nervous tension. With this therapy, the narrowing of the nerve passages can be alleviated, the flow of the cerebrospinal fluid improved, and the bone structures put in proper position. This therapy is named after the bones that surround the nerves together with the vertebrae, the skull (cranium) and sacrum (sacrum) bones. The brain and bone marrow are covered with protective membranes that create a unique envelope that flows through the cerebrospinal fluid, which is produced and reabsorbed in the skull. It creates a rhythm that spreads throughout the body like a wave from the skull through the spine to the peripheral parts of the body.

Emmett Technique

Emmett technique is a special physiotherapy technique and it is a method that can be used in a complementary way to any other physical or manual technique. It is a very fast method that, when activated, the right muscle produces effective results as soon as the muscle correction (pressure on the muscle) is performed. The effect of the work performed can be directly tested – by measuring strength, flexibility or balance. The places where pressure is exerted are the so-called. Emmett points, points of overlap of sensory or receptor and muscle points. The Emmett method activates stored poor movement and / or balance patterns, and by removing them through the workings of various central nervous system structures, new patterns of movement are created on the spot, without pain and with better balance – depending on the clinical picture and the difficulty presented to us by the patient / client.
In addition to its direct effect on muscle correction (which is facilitated or relaxed depending on the muscle condition, or depending on the response of the associated proprioceptors), this method also seeks to influence the patient’s long-term well-being through the release of muscle and fascial tension, and to stimulate the secretion of natural endorphins. improvements in circulation and lymphatic drainage.

Indications: Emmett is used in the treatment of pain and muscle discomfort, improving range of motion, restoring or improving balance, restitution of the neuromuscular system

Corporation (office) massage

A corporate massage is intended for companies where employees spend most of their day in a sitting position. The World Health Organization has declared a lack of physical activity as one of the leading causes of chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes. Excessive sitting is particularly damaging because it slows down circulation and metabolism and causes pain in the muscles and joints. All these problems associated with sitting lead to reduced productivity in the workplace and frequent absenteeism for sick leave.

Using a specially designed portable chair, within a short time (15-20 minutes per massage) the following is achieved:

  • Relaxation of painful points associated with sitting, especially in the neck, back and shoulder area
  • Increased circulation and eliminates fatigue
  • Reduced stress associated with chronic diseases, digestive problems, neurological problems, etc.
  • Raising the level of mental focus and focus on tasks
  • Employee satisfaction, which is reflected in their co-operation and corporate culture

In developed countries and companies that operate on the principles of socially responsible business, corporate massage is part of the corporate culture. Corporate massage is a great way to help your employees get rid of stress and increase their satisfaction and productivity at the workplace.
